08 Christmas Loco Road Trip - 路線與計畫

I'm really surprised that there's so many holidays and holidays in US. In Taiwan, some people work on Saturday or even Sunday. It's quite different here. My lab colleagues all plan to go somewhere for the Christmas. Most students go back home and my boss Julia even plans to enjoy the vacation in Brazil.

I really want to go to Bakersfield, CA for the Christmas and New Year's eve with my loco family. (That's my home in America.) But Kathleen's uncle, Michael, in Dallas, TX invited us to visit since 2006. It's really hard to say no to him, although I never meet him bofore.

Here is the plan for the 10 days road trip vacation:

Visit Elvis Presley's Graceland and the BB king's Club on Beatle St.

Visit William J. Clinton Presidential Library on the way of Arkansas.

12/25-27 Dallas City tour

12/28 Dallas TX to Galveston TX.

Stay at the Beach of Gulf of Maxico.

12/29 Galveston TX to Houston TX.

Visit NASA Johnson Space Center

12/30 Houston TX to New Orleans LA

對了,我不久前去吃了黑胡椒炒螃蟹.平均一個吃了快兩只的大螃蟹.我們有十個人左右,那道菜才馬幣20元而已.
換成台幣也才180 OR 美金8元左右
便宜吧!!!

Anderson and Kathleen,
Yes we do have many holidays, isn't it wonderful. I looks like you are making the most of your time off. You went to Elvis' place, did you see Elvis??? We all got together here and made tamales, traditional Mexican Christmas food. It was great, as we only make tamales once a year. Luckily Albert and Marissa got to come and spend 5 days with us. For a change we stayed home for New Years. When midnight came we went outside and made some noise. You were in New Orleans for New Years, wow that must have been something. Sorry we didn't see you for the holidays, but glad you had such a wonderful time. It's good to take advantage of your time in the US to see and do as much as possible. I love adventure. We are so looking forward to our adventure of going to your wedding in Taiwan.

Elvis!! Yeah, he's there! He is right in his yard, but 6 feet under. I'm arranging the all the pitures and will show them as soon as I can. Keep visiting SmokyBlackCat!
